Second edition · call for contributors

You have run the turnaround. Bring what it taught you to the second edition.

I am writing the second edition of The Turnaround Blueprint now. If you have carried operations in aerospace, defense, medtech, industrial machinery or tier-1 automotive, I want thirty minutes on your plant, in your words, with your name and role beside your quotes.

Who I have in mind

Senior executives who have carried it themselves.

VP Operations, COO, or the person who ran the plan. The three things below are not a filter at the door, they are simply the room the book is written for, and you will know better than I do whether you are in it.

SectorAerospace, Defense, MedTech, Industrial Machinery, Tier-1 Automotive

At plant or business unit level.

HeadquartersUnited States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Switzerland, Germany

Where the company you ran it in is based.

Size$200M+ annual revenue

The system, not the room, carried the plan.

How it works

Three steps,
one conversation.

01

Book a call

Pick a slot and give me four fields. That is the whole setup, nothing to prepare and nothing to send.

02

We talk

A conversation, thirty minutes, about how you actually run operations: your systems, the crises, what you would do differently. No script, no slides, no questions to study first.

03

I write, you approve

I rework what you said into the lines I want to use and send them to you. Keep them, change them or refuse them. Only what you approve goes in, and a physical copy is sent to you when the second edition publishes.

That is the entire contribution: one call, and a read-through of your own lines.

No client names without your written permission. Credit, by name or by sector only, is agreed with you. Nothing is published before you have read it.

Read it first

Turn a few pages of the first edition.

The 5-10-20 approach, the nine steps, and the chapter openings where the senior executives I have worked with speak in their own words.

A note from Frederic

Frederic Gomer

I wrote the first edition plant by plant. The method is mine. What it does not have is what happened in your plant when the method met your order book.

That is what the second edition is for. Not a testimonial, and not a chapter you have to write. Thirty minutes, a conversation about how you actually run operations, and a line in the book only if it is worth keeping, and only after you have read it.

I have spent twenty years turning around underperforming plants, in aerospace, defense, medtech, industrial machinery and automotive, across the United States, Europe and Asia.

If you have carried this work, I would like to hear how you did it.

Frederic

The next step

Thirty minutes, whenever suits you.

Four fields, then a time in my calendar. If it turns out your experience is not right for this edition, I will say so before we speak. The second edition publishes on 31 March 2027, so the earlier we talk, the more of it you can shape.
